Vertigo Games is looking for a talented software engineer for our current and unannounced upcoming (VR-) titles. We work in small teams for our projects and are looking for a jack of all trades when it comes to programming. Our ideal candidate has no problem jumping between topics such as low-level gameplay mechanics, a server-client fps environment and world domination.

You will:

  • Write clear, portable and maintainable code
  • Work closely with artists, designers and other programmers
  • Implement game systems and mechanics

What we require from you:

  • Bachelor of Science in computer science or a related discipline
  • Expertise in C#
  • Fluent in English, both verbally and written, Dutch is a plus
  • Experience with Unity
  • Experience with translating design into code
  • Experience with creating a game in a team
  • Able to build a program from the ground up
  • Understanding of data-driven programming
  • Understanding of a wide variety of design patterns
  • Have a passion for making games
  • Currently residing in The Netherlands

What will make you exceptional:

  • Knowledge of other C based languages
  • Knowledge of unreal or other engines
  • Understanding of the mathematics used in Game Development
  • Olympic gold medal
  • Exceptional knowledge of one or more systems ( Databases, Networking, Audio, Graphics… )
  • Experience in technical design ( UML, use cases, technical documentation )
