Overview

We are looking for a 3D Animator to temporary join our team to work on our exciting new project. In this role you will help the team by creating an intro and outro video based on a storyboard. In addition you will be working on the animation for multiple (cartoon) characters and objects. Implementation and rendering are optional. You will be working together with the development and art team for the duration of 3 to 4 weeks.

OUTCOMES

  • Deliver strong emotive animations for three cartoon characters.
  • Create believable animations for objects taking weight and mass in account.
  • Create an intro and outro video based on a story board
  • Work directly with our art and development team for the duration of 3 to 4 weeks.

ROLE-BASED SKILLS

  • Experience with animating different types of characters and dynamic objects.
  • Feeling for weight, mass and timing to create believable animations.
  • Good eye for depth, volume, proportions, silhouette and readability.
  • Knowledgeable about rigging.
  • Knowledgeable about real-time 3D rendering best practices.
  • An understanding of different animation techniques.
  • Organized, able to work in a file structure according to best practices.
  • Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team of designers, artists and programmers.
  • Experience with repositories like SVN or GitHub.

SOFT SKILLS

  • Creativity: You are able to come up with original and innovative ideas and solutions and adopt out of the box points of view.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years experience with animations for games.
  • Read, write and speak excellent English
  • Ability to take direction and to give feedback
  • Able to work 40+ hours a week, remotely, during our office hours (CET).
