Overview

For a new prototyping team Paladin is looking for a versatile Unity Developer. You will be working in a creative and highly iterative environment. You will work closely with the rest of the team to turn ideas into prototypes or build tools to bring rough game ideas to life.

During the prototyping phase you will be part of a small team working full time in our studio in The Hague. Working on site will be in accordance with government regulations and guidelines.

More details about the project and position will be provided during the first interview.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with design to plan and implement gameplay, systems and tools to bring the vision of the game alive
  • Contribute to the prototyping team with feedback and other improvements

ROLE-BASED SKILLS

What we are looking for:

  • Excellent and C# programming skills with a passion for best practices
  • Broad range of game development skills, from user interface to gameplay systems
  • Understanding what makes game interactions “fun” and focus on this as a core goal
  • Understanding of which prototype features can scale in production and which steps to take to get there
  • Understanding of game development tooling, processes and workflows
  • Understanding of the technical and creative game development process
  • Experience with prototyping and short iteration cycles

What could help:

  • Physics based game development experience
  • Multiplayer game development experience
  • Experience with mobile development (Android/iOS) and console development

SOFT SKILLS

  • Creativity: You are able to come up with original and innovative ideas and solutions

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ year of experience, and shipped at least 1 game
  • A strong passion for making games
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • You are willing & able to work at our basecamp in The Hague when required
  • Able to work 40 hours per week
